At the beginning of 2007, Romanian Prime Minister along with Labor Minister promised to employers and employees that starting with January 2008; labor taxes will be axed with up to 6%. In reality, we are in March 24, 2008 and the real decreases of taxes are 0, 5% for employees and 1, 5% for employers. This comes from an old problem, old seniors retirement pension raise. It seems that raising with up to 50 percents pensions for all seniors has a real effect on 2008 Budget, and the government has to axe expenses from every corner in order to cover this huge amount election investment in pensions.

The new electronic form of registration program (Revisal 2.0.6) was finally lunched after few month of testing. This is considered to be the first step for the new era of digitalization and electronic registration of labor activity in Romania.

Romanian labor system tries to go online with the reporting part, also try to digitize all forms of registering employees or reporting form. It's a big step forward, if we count more than 50 years of filling papers for each employed people. We look forward to see the online database were every employer can log in and fill, operate and send to approve all forms of hiring, modify and terminate labor relation, and not last to fill his obligation related to tax paying and reporting.
